5th Lesson of mathematics Tricks and Fun

This is the fifth lesson of mathematics tricks and fun tutorial I am Dr Prema B Sejekan. In this we are going to study the squaring of 3s and 6s using the special code - one more one less.

99 X 99 is equal to 9801. 999 X 999 is 998001. same principle One more One Less is used in the multiplication of
444X 999 and when the numbers are in excess on one side , either 9 is in extra or the number like here 4 extra andthe answer is 443 9 in the middle and 556

what is the square of sixty six and another question what is the square of 666 . How quickly can we do this first we will take one 6 each from the unit position of both sides.6 x 6 is 36 so will put three on the unit position multiplicand side and 6 on the unit position multiplier side. Then One more One less code we will apply one more than 3 is 4.1 less than 6 is 5. So the answer is 4356 In the second question calculating as taught earlier , the answer is 443 556. When one 6 is extra on one side that is 666 X 66 the answer will be 43 9 56 . If we follow the method and use the code we can square however long the number with 6s we get . Here is an example square of 66666 The answer will be 4444355556

333 x 999 the answer is 33 2667 . same code we will apply in the squaring of 3s .3333 square 3 x 3 is 9 We wrll write this as -0. - 9 because two digits are involved. The answer is 11 10 8889 . 333 X 33333 the answer is 11099889. 33 X 33 and the answer is 1089 another question 33333 X 33 the answer is 10 999 89.

These are for practice 99 multiplied by 99 answer is 9801 rame wsy 22 × 99 answer is 2178 and 33× 99 is 1089  and so on.

In the coming classes we will study squaring of 2s , 5s, 4,s, 8s ,thank you for watching.

11th Lesson -Nikhilam sutra-corollaries

11th Lesson of  mathematics tricks and fun       Hello friends ,today we are going to stud y Nikhilam Sutra in multiplication. I am Dr Prema b sejekan.  Nikhilam Sutra says Nikhilam Navatascharamam Dasatah.Means All from Nine and Last from Ten . Nikhilam sutra has upasutras corollaries and sub-corollaries.All of them and their application  in multiplication will be discussed here.  Here  applications of Nikhilam Sutra in general is shown.Let us take the first among the 7 examples. In this, the first question is  9 times 9.working base is 10 . So complement of 9 from 10 is 1.   1×1 is 1 and  9-1 is 8. The answer is 81.2nd example is 7× 6 , so complement of  7 from 10 is 3. Complement of 6 is 4 so we will write 7-3× by 6-4 so ,3×4 is 12 and 7-4,is 3 .Adding the carry overs answer is 42.  Rest all examples are with different bases ie  100,1000 base  done in the similar way. ...
