Straight division by Vedic maths mathematics Tricks and Fun  21

Hello friends, this is the 21st class on mathematics
tricks and fun.I am Dr Prema B Sejekan.Division by
Vedic maths is easy using mostly single unit digits .
so one need to know multiplication table up to 9 only
and mostly addition and subtraction.we have
discussed division using Nikhilam and paravartya
sutra and in the  Last class we have discussed on
 straight division by dwajanga Sutra.
This is continuation of the same but using long
numbers.I will recommend everybody to go through
my earlier videos on division especially the one
previous to this. I will try my best to explain again.

Here we have 7031985 as dividend to be divided by
 823. As said earlier we will put 8 and above 8 we will
write 23 since two digits at the top in the divisor we
will keep a gap between the last two digits and the
front 5.since divisor 8 is bigger than 7 we take 2
digits together ie 70 to be divided by 8 we get 8×8=64
we will put 8 on the quotient sideand 64 above 70 .balance 6 is written in front of 3 to give 63 now top 2×quotient 8 gives 16 writen below 63 and subtracted
to get 47 .This 47is divided by 8 gives 5as quotient
and 40 written above63 balance 7 written in front of
  1 to give 71..Now top 23 is Croods multiplied with quotient 85 to get34deducting 34 from 71 gives 37 .
37 divided by 8 to give 4 as quotient and 8×4=32
written above 72balance 5 put in front of 9 gives 59.

 multiplied 23 with 54 gives23 subtracting this
from 59 gives 36dividing this by 8 gives 4 as quotient
and 32 written above 59 and balance 4 put in front of
8 to give 48.cross multiplying 23with44 gives 20
deducting from 48 gives 28 this is divided by 8 gives 3
as quotient 8×3=24 which ich is written above 48
balance 4 written in front of 5 to give 45
 crossmultiplying 23 with 43 gives 18which is
subtracted from 45 to give 27 .this 27 divided by 8
gives 3 as quotient and 8×3=24 balance 3 so answer
is 8544.33we can get remainder after we transfer 4
to the other side after 5 digits.togive 485 now cross multiplying 23 with 44 gives 200 and multiplying last quoiient 4 with last digit on the top divisor ie3 4×3=13. 485-200-12 gives 273 as remainder.

Here we have same digits with decimals since it will
be easy to explin.we have 7031 .95 to be divided by 8231.here we put 231 on top of 8 so start putting 0. Starting and start dividing as said easier.here since 3 digits on top we should cross multiply first 8 then 23
and 85 then cross multiply 231 with 854 as in
Urdhwa Tiryak sutraAnswer here is 0.854325

We have two examples hereboth are to worked upto 3 decimal places.1 31240 to be divided by 1532 we will
write the divisor as 15 with 32 written on top of it.first dividend we will take 31 to be divided by ,15.we get 2
as quotient ,2×15=30writtenabove the 31and balance 1, which is inserted in front of 2 to give 12. Now top 3 multiplied by quotient 2 gives ,written below ,,12 we get
6 as balancesince this new dividend 6 is smaller than
15 we put ,0 on the quotient side and put 6 infront of
,4 to give 64. Now cross multiplying top 32 with
quotient 20 gives 4 which is deducted from ,64 to give balance ,
60 .now 15×4 gives 60 Thus answer is 2.040
In the second example, we have 333333 to be divided
by 1782. We will put divisor as 17 with 82 above it.
and we will give a gap between last two digits and
digits in front.we divide 33 by ,17 1 as quotiemt and
16 balance put infront of,3 to give 163.now quotient
1× 8 gives 8 subtracted from 163 to give 155 .this is divided by 17 to give 8 as quotient and 8×17 gives ,136 written above 163 ba!ance 19 put in front of3. Cross multiplying 18 with 82 on the top gives 66 deducted
from ,193 gives127 as nuw dividend.this is divided by
17 to give 7 as quotient 17×7 gives119 and balance 8 written in front of 3cross multiplying 82 with 87 gives 71on deduction from 83 you get 11 which is smaller
than divisor 17.,so put 0 on quotient side and 12
taken up to insert in front of 3 cross multiplying ,70 quotient with top 82 gives 14 this is deducted from
 113 to give 99. Dividing 99 by 17 gives 5 as quotient
and result 85 put above 113 balance 14 since we
should get 3 decimal places we will add ,0 to 14 to
 give 140,cross multiplying ,82 on top with 05 = 40
balance 100 dividing this by 17 gives 5 as quotient balance15 again repeating gives 5 as Q so correcting
we can make the answer as 187. 056

In the coming classes we will study square root.

11th Lesson -Nikhilam sutra-corollaries

11th Lesson of  mathematics tricks and fun       Hello friends ,today we are going to stud y Nikhilam Sutra in multiplication. I am Dr Prema b sejekan.  Nikhilam Sutra says Nikhilam Navatascharamam Dasatah.Means All from Nine and Last from Ten . Nikhilam sutra has upasutras corollaries and sub-corollaries.All of them and their application  in multiplication will be discussed here.  Here  applications of Nikhilam Sutra in general is shown.Let us take the first among the 7 examples. In this, the first question is  9 times 9.working base is 10 . So complement of 9 from 10 is 1.   1×1 is 1 and  9-1 is 8. The answer is 81.2nd example is 7× 6 , so complement of  7 from 10 is 3. Complement of 6 is 4 so we will write 7-3× by 6-4 so ,3×4 is 12 and 7-4,is 3 .Adding the carry overs answer is 42.  Rest all examples are with different bases ie  100,1000 base  done in the similar way. ...
